BlueHills Glass and Beads

November and December class list:

Exploring Bronze Metal Clay November 18th and December 2nd- come play with clay and leave with bronze jewelry.  First class is set aside for instruction and design of projects; second session will be devoted to discussion on finishing techniques and polishing fired pieces.  Instrutor fee of $75 includes use of tools, instruction and firing.  Please plan on an additional cost of up to $25 to purchase clay.

Beaded Holiday Gifts November 20th - come make a wonderful beaded cross, cheeseboard or Star of David just in time for those holiday parties.  Pam Mangin will have a variety of glass bases, beads to pick from and basic tools to use.  Instructor fee of $75 includes the glass base, wiring, use of tools and instruction.  Plan on an additional amount for purchase of beads or bring your own.

Embossed Glass November 26th - come make a glass tile and learn to emboss  hot glass with brass stamps.  Char Sanchez will teach the technique needed to successfully stamp glass.  Instructor fee of $65 covers use of kilns and tools as well as the glass needed to make a tile.  Project will be ready for pick up the following day.

Leaded Stained Glass Construction - November 30th and every Wed. through the end of December - learn to construct a stained glass panel using the lead method.  Instructor fee of $85 covers instruction and pattern.  Additional cost will be required to purchase glass.

Combing Glass December 10th and 17th - Char Sanchez will be in the studio to demonstrate the technique of combing and then each student will design, fire and comb their own tile.  On December 17th students return to cold work pieces.  Instructor fee of $125 includes use of tools, kilns and consumables.  Please plan on an additional cost to purchase glass.  Class size limited.  Prior glass cutting experience, please.
